Avantgo - Takes ages to synch!

Hi All,

Just set up an Avantgo account, but had to abandon synching procedure because by my calculation it would take more than 2 hours for synching to be completed. Haven't got that much time, need to go to work so i can afford more goodies for my Sony Clie SJ30! My PC is connected to the internet via a 56k modem and I'm running Windows 98. Can anyone help me out, please?:confused:

How many channels did you have selected, it can be a lenght process and I believe the first time it takes quite a bit longer as on each subsequent sync in only "refreshes" the channels but it has been awhile since I have used Advantago.

Some channels are worse than others. They can "hang" and then time out. Try enabling just a few and you may find the culprit(s).

I used to sync about 300K of content over a cellphone connection (14.4) and it would take about 5 minutes.
