View Full Version : UNiversal thumb pad for TX?
Does anyone have any experience with this:
http://www.yondwin.com.tw/demo.htm
It looks clunky but there are a ton on ebay pretty cheap, and I'd probably actually use a thumboard more than a folding keyboard. It's much bigger than a Treo thumboard as well, and I'd guess maybe faster.
Again, it looks awkwars but it might just be ok.

I suggest the PalmOne Universal Wireless Keyboard. I use it and its amazingly fast. Not to mention, there are actual drivers for the TX compared to the generic ones offered by Yondwin.
To let you know, I tried a generic driver on my TX for a Targus keyboard and the typing speed was so slow. The text lagged on my screen. Sometimes, it wasn't even picked up.

I wish there was a good thumboard all the same :( Accesories for PDAs sure have dried up. I remember when there were so many accessories for Palms, the amount for HS Visors even was amazing.

Well, I'm pretty happy with Virtual Thumbboard (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91061&page=1&pp=15) :)

It didn't work well for me. I have big thumbs :p and also don't want to touch the screen too much.
-- The BT thumbboard looks interesting, but this review (http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/reviews/item/Freedom_mini_keyboard.php) doesn't make it seem like that great a solution.
Maybe the universal wireless is the best option. How about the BT foldouts, I guess my next question is can you use them with a PC, which might be useful at some point.
ok, I ordered the Universal Keyboard. I really need it for business trips where I don't want to have a laptop but want to reply to team emails and chats, so I guess something closer to a full sized keyboard would actually be better.

About that Palm Universal Wireless Keybaord, I had purchased one a few weeks ago and everything works very well.
Here is my question: Does anybody know if it is possible to use it with a PC that has an IR port?
