Hi all...
Just got my TG50 yesterday and I'm wondering what are other CLIE users doing with their Bluetooth devices?... To be frank, I am not too sure how I will be using it :)
Best Rgds
Steven.

I just Disable it.
Too annoying to setup a connection. and hate the flashing light...

I mainly use it to Hotsync with my laptop. You can also use it to check email and surf the web if you don't mind lots of scrolling :-P.
Its too bad you cannot use bluetooth to send/receive files with a desktop computer with bluetooth otherwise I would be using it more often.

I wish there was an MS IMPORT type feature where I could install mp3s and go through the memory stick without the cradle.

I mainly surf the net, SMS with it. Probably would buy a bt adapter for my laptop too.
By the way, it is not irritating once you are hook up. It will not flashing once you are surfing or hotsyncing. It only blink when it is on idle or standby.

My phone is not BT-enabled. So I just disable it.
Well, it seems that there are not many mobile phones that are BT-ready, doesn't it?

Use it in conjunction with my T68i.....
1) surf net with Web Pro (taken from Tungsten installating disk),
2) download email and attachements with Snappermail (picsel viewer and Quickoffice Premier allow me to have nearly total native file support, great for MS Office and .pdf files)
3) send sms
4) connect to MSN Messenger using PalmMSN...
5) used it twice to talk discretly to someone in a meeting via BlueChat (again from tungsten cdrom).....
I enable and disable bluetooth easily with the BtToggle.....
By the way, surfing and dowloading mostly done in GPRS.... so pretty quick and you only pay for what you dowload and send....

I use it for Hotsyncing (I bought adapters for all my computers) and for surfing the net while in the tub.
I have a few bluetooth phones but I never really use that connection since the MB/month charges are still obnoxious.

You can. Just use McPhling for small amount of files or even better Syncwizard (as already mentioned)

I go into the preference for bluetooth just to make the blue light turn on to impress people. Mostly girls. It doesn't really work well, I wouldn't advise it...course it works better then describing your collection of star wars action figures. ;)

How do you surf the net with bluetooth? using a bluetooth modem? or can you hook up to a bluetooth enabled PC that is connected?

If I get a TG50, I'll also buy a USB BT dongle and use the Bluetooth to surf the web and wireless hotsync.

its kind of cool. i dont have a BT phone, but i managed to get online without too much headache with mochaPPP and a belkin BT dongle. i can hotsync, browse the net, and send/receive mail. i also did the remote camera with a trv-80 at work (i sell photo/video equip). remote camera is kind of a neat app. it allows you to use the zoom function, and also pan and tilt digitally. you can also start/stop recording and take stills. you get a video feed on the clie screen, but need a tape/memory stick in the camera to record images. i own a trv-950, it has BT but not the remote camera function. the two devices recognize each other, but the 950 seemingly just doesnt have the right firmware to do anything useful with the clie.
