My very first thread!
I don't know why nobody else follows the news about the new wireless keyboard from Belkin, but it's out, folks!
Belkin Wireless PDA keyboard
Part # F8U1500
It says it's compatible w/ Sony CLIE S/N/T/SL/SJ/NR/series handhelds.
I'm getting mine right now for $59.99 (ex shipping charge: $12.25) from the belkin website. If anyone finds a better price, please please post a reply ASAP so that I can cancel this order. ^_^
p.s. I got my MSX-256 today only to find out that it won't work with Open MG or Sonic Stage. I use MD and I'd love to use the *.omg files, but oh well... Will they release an update for those programs? It says on the support site that they suggest using the regular magic gate instead of pro for atrac3 files for now.

Ok, I got the keyboard from Belkin anyway since I have a 30 day warranty, but the keyboard does not support the OS5, yet.
I'm waiting to hear from the tech support when they'd release the driver. When I get the date, I'll post it here. So, yeah... don't buy it, yet.
What is it about the OS5 that makes it so difficult for the developers to program a driver? I don't understand. Moving up to OS5 wasn't as drastic as moving up from Win 98 to 2K, was it?

Ask Sony why it won't release it's API's!
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for MS Pro ATRAC3 support on older clies.
It's supposed to work on native devices and for future stuff.

I got a reply from Belkin today.
"We are planning to have the Driver for the Sony Palm OS 5 on our web site on 5-2-03.
Thank you for your understanding.

I purhased the Belkin wireless keyboard, model F8U1500, at Fryes Electronics last week. The package clearly states that it works with the NX. It does not work with the NX. Belkin technical support told me that it was a packaging error.
However, they forwarded me on to the customer support and they are sending me a relpacement G700 keyboard at no cost. The customer support person at Belkin was just outstanding to deal with after the frustrating experience of buying the wireless keyboard in California and then returning home in Montana where there is no way to return the deveice.

I just buy this one (F8U1500) from Fry's.
Tha package says it's for use with SONY T, SL, SJ, NR, NX & NZ. Unfortunately, this keyboard doesn't work with my NZ90.

Ain't it always the way! I had a Pocketop IR keyboard that was great for my NR70. Then I got the NX and found out that there probably won't be a driver for OS5! Anyone need a wireless keyboard attractively priced????

I purchased the F8U1500 from Fryes for 49.00. The package states that it works with the NX70V. I could not get it to work and called Belkin tech support. They told me that there was a 'packaging error' and the the NX70 is not supported. They are replacing teh F8U1500 with the G700 at no cost. Have not yet received teh G700.

The freekin driver that Belkin was supposed to release on May 2nd that got the wireless keyboard to actually work with the NX. Why for the love is this all so hard to do?

Hope it works out for ya!
My experience with my T615 and Pocketop wireless keyboard have left me somewhat skeptic. It tends to freeze up my T615, some days more than others. It seems to particularly like doing this when trying to use WordSmith or DTG - this leaves memopad, where at least what you have written gets saved automatically!
I have tried to contact Pocketop but never got a reply.
Is it my Clie, the keyboard or both? Admitedly it seems to work fine with my girlfriends m505.
One keyboard to fit all and save having to buy a new one with each machine huh? When I move to OS5.0 this one won't be even less usable!!!
Any ideas anyone, by the way, on how to solve the Pocketop/T615 clash?
Anyway - hope you guys get that OS5.xx driver you're after - maybe after using it sometime you could write a wee update telling the rest of us how it's going. What I would like is one of those nasty slimline keyboard you can get for the Palm!!! (The super-duper Stowaway something, something, something.)
Excuse the rant of frustration please!

I meant - ...this one will be even less usable... as in USELESS.
