View Full Version : Cannot launch new applications on nz90 either from internal or MS
I am trying to add some applications to my nz90 and have run into some problems.....e.g. went to mapopolis and downloaded a map of my city and used Install to hotsync it over to the internal mem. The application copied OK (I see it on the list of internal applications) but it is not launched when I turn on my nz90. Tried soft reset but no dice.
If anyone can advice on running new applications from the internal AND also from MS. I've had the same problem with applications I have copied to my 1 Gb MS Pro even though I put them in /PALM/Launcher.

How would an app be launched when you turn on your clie?
To run an application requires a tap of your stylus on the Icon in the Clie Launcher.

Sorry if this sounds obvious, but did you just install the pdb map database or did you also install the Mapopolis prc application? Like Larry said, you'll need to launch the prc before you can access the map.

mapopolis uses a lot of memory...
if you installed mapopolis, the icon looks like a wire frame globe...
if you tap this, what happens?
how much free ram is there?

sorry fellows.....still getting to know my nz90.....i just installed the pdb file but not the prc for mapopolis (thnx for mentioning the OBVIOUS but vital info Ken).....Greg I should have elaborated my original question more i.e. I was not seeing any mapopolis icon (now i know why) when i turned on my clie.
The program does take a fair bit of ram (prc=280, pdb=1495 (for map of Toronto, Canada) that's why i've elected to run it from my ms pro.
