Almost lost my 1 gig MS!!!

Oh man! I was at a trade show today and while I was at the booth I guess I reached into my pocket and grabbed the Clie and did not notice the MS popped out in the process. At the end oftheshow while I was packing up I noticed a little white stick underneath the table. Low and behold it was my stick that must have been sitting there for a few hours. I would have left and not noticed it was gone until now had I not agreed to help take the booth down. Aside from getting a case which would add too much bulk to the device does anyone know of a product that keeps MS's in the slot. (And don't say superglue cause I already thought of that) Has someone figured this out yet?

I'm afraid that neither a leather case or even a hard case may solve your problem, as the manufacturer always make a hole at the expansion slot for users' easy access to the card...

Take a SMALL piece of tape (any type) and wrap it near the end of the stick. Make sure NOT to wrap it all around the stick. Just wrap it half way and wrap it where it will not show when you insert the stick. Once you have this done PEEL the edge (the TOP facing the screen) halh way or less. What this will do is when you insert the stcik the tape will hold itself against the frame of the pda. So it will NOT just POP OUT it will pop a bit and the tape will slow it down big time. Tru peeling it a little at a time until your happr with the grip.

I had to do this to my stick on the NZ90 becasue just about ANYTHING made the stick pop out. Now I do not worry about it at all, I made it stick well so sometimes I need to pull it myself to get it out.

Really? I've had much less trouble out of my NZ than I did out of my NR. I guess it could be bad if I wasn't careful with my pinky, but it's not been a problem so far.

You might try one of those bodyglove cases that zip around but that might be too bulky.

I know this may seem like overkill.. but maybe this would help.

Take some thick label paper (sticky on one side) and cut a strip that is the width of the MS. Fold it on the end of the MS so it is stuck to each side and there is some extra hanging off the end, sticky sides in. So you have a little tab on the end of your MS. Then make a hole, put a string through it and string it through your laynard loop. I'm sorry, but I forgot which device you have. I know the NR/NX/T have laynard loops. Can't remember about the NZ. I'm not going to do this myself, but I just though a simmilar approach might help you?

I have a Sena case for my NX. The leather wraps around the top. Even though it may cause the MS to pop out sometimes from pressure, it does keep the stick from going anywhere. I know you said you dont' want a case though.

Thanks for your suggestions guys. I think I am going to use a small piece of tape for now since I am overly paraniod. I was thinking about maybe trying a small hinge that would at least block the stick from flying out.
