I want the ability to print to a networked printer from my TX at work wirelessly. Best would be support for IP printing I guess. What is available? A secondary option would be able to print to an HP inkject connected to my XP box at home, but that is less necessary.

There's BTPrint and IRPrint from IS/Complete (http://www.iscomplete.org/Store/) but I haven't tried them on my TX.

Repligo can print its documents natively to HP deskjet printers using infrared or bluetooth.

There is also PrintBoy (http://www.bachmannsoftware.com/pbprem.htm).

PrintBoy needs software on the PC I believe. I wish I had an app on my TX that could search for open WiFi networks, then search for Printers then allow you to connect to that Printer. Then through DocsToGo, print the document.

I want something that prints over Wifi to an IP printer. My company definitely isn't going to get BT or IR just for me :(

On PrintBoy's page:
PrintBoy lets you print directly to your printer using an infrared, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, serial or TCP/IP connection

OK, PrintBoy does work with Wifi, but @ $40 is way too expensive. I'm hoping for $15 or less :(

This is definitely something I think should be a system-resource availble thoughout the Palm OS. Hopefully in a future version (if there is one).

According to the documentation that accompanies the software, one is supposed to be able to print to a network printer with SmbMate. Don't know if it works or not, but remember seeing the statement in the docs.

It would be nice if this existed. Let us know if you find something that is suitable stability and price wise.

This probably is not available on the TX, but it is worth a check:

On my LifeDrive, if I:
Start AddIt.
'Shopping' Tab.
'Browse Software Catalog'.
'Next', about 9 times.
On my LifeDrive, there is then a link, 'PrintBoy LifeDrive Edition'.
Price: $0: Hit 'Try' or 'Buy'.
Hotsync.
I do not know if it (or similar) is available for TX users or not. There was also the link 'PrintBoy Premium Edition' but the price was $39.99.

PrintBoy is the best app for WiFi/BT and a network or WiFi printer. I use TealPrint for IR printing to my SiPix. With the combination of TealPrint and PrintBoy I can print anything on my TX to any printer I have tried. The one thing to know is that there was no magic or easy solution to accomplish this. Six days involving many hours each day of trial and error, tweaking and just plain fiddling. Patience is the key!

I can certainly see my LAN printer on my T5 with SmbMate, but since I don't have any printer drivers on my PDA, I can't do much with the connection.

The drivers that come with PrintBoy does not work for printing to my printer connected to my Windows PC via USB.

Has anybody found out how to print with SMB Mate?

The option appears, but it pops up with "This product requires a LifeDrive."

This probably is not available on the TX, but it is worth a check:

'Browse Software Catalog'.
'Next', about 9 times.
