Hello
I would like to get rid of real player, off my E2 and PC, because it seems to have messed up some of my default settings when I allowed it to install.
Is there a good player that I can download for the E2? I thought I read about one somewhere but I cannot remember what it was. And of course the cheaper the better.
Oh, and I almost forgot. How do you delete RealPlayer off the E2? If I go up to the left part of the screen, select delete, it shows a list of apps but none that I can recognise as being Real Player
Thanks
Fred
PocketTunes and Busker are very good players.
If RealPlayer is on your device, it should appear in the delete list. Have you scrolled down all the way in that list?

try pocket tunes or aeroplayer, just google them. about that realplayer, well i suppose that it is the e2's rom so you can't delete it.
cheers buddy
Also, TCPMP is a good player (even displays album art), although it doesn't have background play capabilities. It also currently isn't skinnable.

If you want a free player, then take DioPlayer. It supports background playing, and playing with screen of and it has a graphic equalizer. If you need more features, try PocketTunes.
As said, you can't delete RealPlayer. To get it out of the Launcher, install Tamhanna's Hideoldcalculator and change the Creator ID to the one of RealPlayer:

Can you change the hard "Music" button on the Zire 72 from RP to PT?

I don't think it's in ROM. I remember that it installed on my E2 automatically the first time I synced it.

It should be possible through Prefs > Buttons. Otherwise, try ButtonsEx.

Real Player is indeed in the TE2 ROM, 623K of bloated crap. Pocket Tunes does 10 times as many things in roughly the same amount of RAM.
OMG...I guess Palm changed something about the E2, then. I was able to delete it off mine.

I would vote for Pocket Tunes also for the wealth of features and stability, and unlike Real Player it can play .ogg and wma formats (they all can play mp3).

The best audio player is PocketTunes. TCPMP is the best video player, but it is lacking features to make it a good audio player, too.
As far as deleting programs from ROM is concerned, I recommend JackFlash and JackSprat (...). They allow you to delete any ROM contents (some things should not be deleted, however) and to write into the ROM. Make sure your device is compatible with these programs and note that not all parts of the ROM can be rewritten/restored.
(hope this helps)

Unfortunately the Brayder apps (Jack Flash and Jack Sprat) are not certified by Brayder to work with NVFS devices. If your model has OS5.4.x, you are out of luck.
