I'd be grateful for any help you can offer on this one.

From a relatively stable system, on Saturday I bought UnCache and loaded it up. I started losing applications around this same time - they'd just disappear out of RAM - but this seems to have something to do with Preference Doctor, which I loaded at the same time, rather than UnCache. I've deleted Preference Doctor, to no great loss.

On Monday night I suddenly found I could no longer open ZLauncher without a crash. Hard reset, and the problem remains. I uninstall UnCache and the problem remains. I reinstall ZLauncher and the problem remains.

I'm not a genius at this stuff, but when I check for instance MemInfo, it looks like there's enough memory. I know ZLauncher is a big program, but it's never been a problem before.

The TX crashes immediately upon accessing ZLauncher. I can delete the DB file and it still crashes. I can leave everything except the ZLauncher application and all other programs work fine (this is what I'm doing now). I don't like the situation because I have so much stuff loaded through ZLauncher shortcuts that if I move to another launcher I'll have to spend hours moving all sorts of apps back to RAM.

Any help - anything at all - would be most appreciated, because this stinks. Thanks

Not that familiar with UnCache, but is ZL in it's "list"?

Aside from that, try a complete de-install of ZL and reinstall from HS or card copy over. Preferences might be corrupted or something.

Are you running the latest version?

Yes, I tried complete uninstall and reinstall. Just the application and a theme, and it still crashes. Yes, latest version - also I went back to an earlier, known-to-be stable version (5.32) and had the same problem. And yes, I've tried it with ZLauncher both in and out of the "list," with the same result in either case - no problem unless I try to open it.

Let me ask, generally, what kind of things would crash ZLauncher - what drivers, background programs, etc? The TX actually seems pretty stable with this one exception; what's so wierd is that I've never had a problem with ZLauncher before. The only things I've done in the days before the problem showed up were: Preference Doctor (since deleted), UnCache, FlushDA (and OffFlush - deleted), and trial versions of UDMH and Warpspeed, both of which I've been leaving off during this tricky period.

I'm truly stumped by this, and I really really don't want to lose ZLauncher. Thanks for your help.
