View Full Version : Datebk5 todo accidentally marking completed...

Sometimes I inadvertently mark a todo item as completed when just trying to view it. It then disappears because I have the "hide completed items" option turned on. This is especially frustrating when it is a repeating item. I'd like to be able to hide the completed checkbox, but don't think there's a way to do it.

Anyone else found a solution to this?

There is an option of "Show/Hide Option button" available (I think  ).

For me, when I checked off a to-do list item, there will be a small "S" shown near the splitter line. And when I tap on it, it will be changed to "S" and show all finished items.

What alternatives are out there to Datebk5? Or is Datebk "the stuff"?

Datebk5 is THE PROGRAM! It is the most functional, most robust, most versitile program available. I could not, at this point, manage my life or my career without it.

Some people use Agendus, I tried it, I went back to Datebk5. You HAVE to try it.

-Bison I HATE it when this happens!

But my short answer is: NO.

I have not found a solution, other than unchecking the hide completed items after it's happened so I can find it to uncheck it, and then recheck the hide completed items again so I can see my todo list.

When I have todos displayed in the regular appointment window (no split screen), and I check one as completed, a little "H" appears in the upper left corner. Tap on it and your checked off todo should appear.

I read it in the manual over a year ago and (apparently) promptly forgot what the s/h did.

Truthfully, I don't really like the todo list in datebk5. Sure, it uses the icons and extended categories, but there is actually some functionality lost in comparison to the built in todo list (beaming).

I much preferred the Franklin Covey todo application, but I am now using the Palm Desktop, so there is no desktop conduit or support, so I no longer use it.

And I actually use Progect for most of my todos nowadays anyway, which uses a totally different concept.
