I guess the word spread (1src helped) that 8.x was worth very little, so now they add product of $29.95 value to the upgrade and charge $29.95 for it. That just about sums up the value of 8.x over 7.006! :eek: :D

I can't remember any previous version of Docs2Go having so, so many upgrade notices as Version 8. I must have received, oh, maybe a dozen emails from DataViz whereas previous versions merited only a couple, IIRC.

All the signs are there: there must not have been anywhere near the same degree of adoption for 8 as there were for previous versions. DataViz must have really been disappointed that a crackerjack freeware PDF viewer appeared on the scene at the same time as theirs. Kinda removed most/all of the incentive to pony up for the new version.

Where did the expression "pony up" come from anyhow?? :p Sorry, just trying to make the thread have some interest...
