I have an NZ-90 and want to update my device with the newest software updates from Sony. When I go to download the softare updates, the Sony site asks me for my Username, Password, and Login, etc..
-has anyone experienced this?? Where do we get this info?

-maybe this is something unique to my computer? or something to do with the firewall at my work? just curious if anyone else has exprienced this???

Strange! I have been able to access the SONY support web sites from different computers and different browsers without ever running into a password request. Did you make sure to go through the right sequence of clicks, including the acceptance of the agreement for downloading the patch? Which exact URL gives you trouble?

yep, I went through all 3 steps... after accepting the agreement I then went to "download" and got the password window.
It may be some security software at my work that does not allow us to download from an FTP site??? -this is my best guess since you haven't had any trouble. I think I'll try it tonight from my home computer! -usually when i have computer trouble its because of my company's security software, etc..!!!! My home machine is sooo much nicer to use than my work machine.

Perhaps the Sony site is looking for a Cookie and your browser is set to not allow them.

Try putting "anonymous" (no quotes) in the username box and your email address in the password box. Your IE might have some funky corporate settings.
I just downloaded the upgrade and after I accepted the agreement, it automatically began the download. No problem - it must be something on the computer you are using at work.

Go to this link from Sony Singapore and it will not ask you anything.
