screen freezing during hot sync and disconnecting

My clie was dead after three weeks of not charging, when i hot sync now, the screen freezes ( on my computer ) and then says that it loas connection with the cradle. i can not get my info back,

my clie was fully charged ( 12 hours ) before douing this.

any suggestions ? is there a system updaten i have been reading about ? if yes, where do i find it ?

At what point does it freeze? It should give you a hint as to which app is causing the problem. It's likely a 3rd party app...

thanks for the hint, i disabled my norton antivirus and it hot sync'd great, thanks.
