I am sending my VZ90 to Chris Short. I think I told you guys, but it now only turns on when plugged in, making my VZ experience terrible. I think I can live without resetting, maybe I can even fix that somehow. But for now, I am just going to be fine with having it away from the wall ;)

He must just fix things in two seconds... ;)
I have completed the repair of your VZ90, there was a part that was
burned out in the battery circuit. I was able to repeat the reset
problem but I feel this is an application that is not handling the
reset signal properly, if you do a reset that does not send the
signal to all applications then it does fine. It is hard to tell
which application is acting poorly and it is even more difficult
since most of the text is in Japanese - maybe this can be
changed. The total comes to $59, this includes the new part, service
and return shipping. I really like the new OLED screen, very nice -
probably be another year before other PDA units get the screen.
$59.
Makes me shutter when I think about what Sony might charge! ;)
Alright, makes me feel more comfortable sending my unit to him. If he is able to fix my CF card slot problem and figure why it just died that time, I'm sure there are other VZ owners with the same CF problem.
I don't think sony would charge anything. They probably won't even look at it. Its as if they have disavowed any knowledge of ever making the VZ.

I doubt if the US Support knows it exists...

US support knows it exists, but they send you to the JP website for support, because they haven't been trained on it and aren't allowed to help since it wasn't sold in the US. When you go to the JP website, it'll ask for the country you're living in or address and send you back to the US website.
