If so please post your thoughts as to why it will or why it won't work. Even if it connects to the bottom I think it would be nice to have this for mp3's.

it makes no sense to hook up a mp3 adopter with TG50 that has a built-in mp3 function already. if it does work...it's like spending $99.95 for a remote controller?!

Thanks. That is what many music lovers like myself want (a remote control). I do not want to flip the cover and turn the unit on and skip a song and close the lid back down and have to stop exercising or whatever just to do skip a song.

It is to much money and I don't want to buy this just yet but was wondering if it would work.

I will contact mobile planet today.

i , myself find it's really inconvenient to play mp3 without a remote control too. but i wouldnt bother too much anymore....

by the way, ur question makes me curious. A built-in mp3 function + a mp3 adopter = a working remote?! let me know :D

Yeah, I really miss the remote on my old clie too. It was great being able to leave the clie in a bag or pocket and just expose the remote. I've got some workarounds now, but it depends on the headphones I use. With regular w.ear headphones, I leave the Audioplayer app active on the detailed view. Then when I need to change volumes, I slide the switch from the "hold" position (leaving the cover on) and just use the scroll wheel to change volumes, then slide the switch to "hold" again.

Sony also sells a pair of fontopia buds (MDR-E829V I think) that have an in-line volume control. When I use those, I leave the Audioplayer active on the list view, so that way when I take it off "hold" the scroll wheel navigates between songs, and when I want to change the volume I use the control on the headphones. That way I can do most of the things I used to be able to do with the remote control (except ffwd and rwd within the same song) without having to take the clie out to flip open the cover.

Just a suggestion in case you want to save some money on that remote.

I don't think it will work. The remote itself has a DSP chip which the TG50 doesn't need since it has 200Mhz which is powerful enough to decode MP3s.

What we remote-less TG-50 audio nuts need is a bluetooth enabled wireless remote. Something really small that you could keep in your pocket, or clip onto the headphone cable.

Who can we get to build this for us? :-)
