Does anyone else have the trouble I'm having and are there any good solutions.

I'm frustrated that most common email programs do not support IMAP. Aren't PDA's supposed to be for businesses? And don't most businesses use IMAP as opposed to POP? My business also uses ssl along with IMAP.

I wish that clie mail was compatible with both. Any email software that I've seen that does support both ssl and IMAP doesn't support attachments.

AUUUUUGH. I just want to be able to use my nx70 for email.

Any suggestions?

Yes, but does it support ssl? I couldn't find any mention of it.

i just got versamail and it's the first email client that works with imap nicely. I've tried all other email apps that claim to be imap compatible, and versamail is the best one i've seen so far.

I own versamail and it worked fine, until my employer changed from IMAP to IMAP with SSL. Versamail does not support SSL. All I want is an email that will allow me to attach my clie files and that supports IMAP with SSL. Is that too much to ask?

... hey guys..... with regards to email & attachments...... my Lotus Notes account at work is 20M+ in size and I am a good boy..... some of the people I support are over 500M...

.. so with the above in mind is attachment support for email really worth its salt??... and how big are your mailfiles in general??

Well, I restrained my urge to flame you after your, IMHO, uncalled for rude remark...and I thought to myself, maybe he does know what he is talking about. So I purchased Versamail only to discover that SSL DOES NOT WORK with anything less than OS5.2 and since I'm on the NX forum, I would have thought you knew that I use OS5.0.

Anyway....I would like to repeat my request. Does anyone know of an e-mail program that will satisfy my needs?

All we know from your rant is that you seem to believe that busineses only use IMAP, and that your company decided to go with IMAP /w SSL. In a piecemeal fashion you have slowly brought up your requirements:

An email client for the Client NX series that handles attachments and communicates to an IMAP server using SSL.

<my rant>NEVER get the user to decide the specs themselves ... invariably they miss something, and the programmer makes assumptions. This is a recipe for disaster. You need three people; a programmer, a subject matter expert, and the end user. If you neglect to include any of these the project will be mediocre at best.</my rant>

I don't have an answer to your question, but didn't you say you already owned Versamail in a previous post?
