Can anyone tell me a way to set up the NZ90 to turn on when it is opened and off when it is closed?

I'm not aware of any sensor or switch in the hinge that could effect this... think not possible..

Maybe it could be triggered on this? Someday...

It also has a sensor that turns the screen on/off when you close it.... if that could be hacked or remapped....even if Sony added a pref for this it'd be pretty cool!!!

I'm sure it's possible to write some sort of event handler to turn the device off when the screen is closed. I'm not so sure you could get it to turn on again when it opened, though. In order to handle a software interrupt or system event, the device has to be on...

I was wrong, there is apparently some internal switch or sensor, since the screen DOES turn off when you shut it...
but coming in and out of sleep state might be tricky...
Sony does not give developers a lot of info, but maybe someone could figure it out...

My NZ90 device is turned off, and when I stick my MS inside, everytime it would beep and the MS read/write orange light would go blinking. That means the NZ90 can be turned on if the command is mapped correctly to the flip sensor...
Think about it....:D

right, it can be turned on, but is the software interface available to outside developers? that's the question
