I'm sure that this is an easy question for all of you vets.
Must I download a launcher (e.g., 'Launcher X', 'Launcher +') before installing a skin/background/virtual graffitti?
With all of the nice 320x480 images I see, it would be nice to try using them on the Clie.
For example, I've tried to instal the virtual grafitti "justice_tap.zip.php" through Hotsync, but the palm alledges that there "is no application on your handheld to open these files." What am I not doing in this case? What steps am I skipping?
I got a little tired of having no success, so I would really appreciate any help.
Thank you.

You can use Photoskin to change the Graffiti skins on your Clie. Also, if you do a search in the forums, you will find many more threads about changing Graffiti skins.

Install the .prc file via hotsync.
I won't say do a search, since cbulock beat me to it, but there is more information available that way than ANYBODY could put into one thread . . . ;)

Some browsers (mozilla some times) will save the file with the wrong name. You will have to first rename the file you've downloaded to "justice_tap.zip" (just delete the ".php"). Next unzip the file. You should get a PRC file (and maybe some other files).
I don't use PhotoSkin or any other app. to change VG skins. All you have to do next is hotsync the PRC file and do a soft reset.
WARNING: Removing the skin to go back to the default one is a little bit trickier - you'll have to do a warm reset, remove the skin PRC and then do a soft reset.
Search the forum for "warm reset" before trying it.
Hope that helps.
