im usin trial iSilo and will definately purchase after trial

its nice to be able to take my web sites w/ me and read em when im not @ my mac

iSilo also features AUTOSCROLL- good fer readin text while ya eat a sandwich

still learnin trial n error bout the 'link levels'- some sites r big and can take a bit to convert- but i hear theres a gigabyte(!!!) memory stick on the way

2 questns:
1-any info on upcomin gigabyte ms?
2-will avantgo ever be compatible w/ OSx?

A lot of chatter on some other mac boards on avant go for X.
consensus is avant go for Palm 5 is still in beta for PC and the folks at avant go aren't even making noise about ever offering a mac x version.
I sync avant go with a pc and everything else on my mac.

Using iSiloX, one can automate iSilo similarly to AvantGo. I'm quite f@#$ed off with AvantGo... not interested in supporting them. Check out this tutorial on using iSiloX in an automated fashion.

Doesn't iSilo take a long time if you want images etc as well? Also, I was wondering if iSilo was optimized for Dual Processors and/or altivec G4 chips? Or would this even make a difference?

max 10mbit/s bandwidth to the internet. Severel GB/s bandwidth to the CPU. It probably wouldn't matter

I find that the vast majority of the time used to convert files for iSilo is due to just downloading all the websites and pictures that will be used in the iSilo file. The actual conversion step is quite quick. So I don't think that have a dual processor would make much of a difference but have a faster connection certainly would.

I just remember that avantgo used to be so fast while synching and using isilo took awhile. But I didn't have full sites in avantgo like I do in iSilo..

-i spose ill b 4ever learnin how it works but fer now i just set it so it 'stacks' a site like a totem pole and read it via 'autoscroll' while on the gym treadmill
