Synching a file or folder???

I have two questions about this

1: Why is it I can only sync a file or folder if it resides in the root of my LD HD, ie Lifedrive\ ?

2:When I do sync an idividual file I end up with a duplicate on both the LD and my PC Title_device, what is this second file for? is it needed?

This happens when the synchronization conduit has the feeling that the file was modified on the device and on the PC. The *_device.* files are copies of the ones located on the PDA. This happens especially when you synch the same folder to two different PCs.
