View Full Version : Can the TH handle emulation (Nes, GG, SMS)?
Is the speed enough to emulate 8-bit games with sound such as Nes or Master System in any emulator? This is with the gamepad of course.

I played Game-Gear emulators on my UX50/VZ90 (have same processor as TH55) and it ran fine.

Check out Nesem (a NES emulator) from KalemSoft.
http://www.kalemsoft.com/nesem.html
I have this installed on my TH-55 and it runs almost flawlessly. The sound is good, the emulation is fairly fast, and it runs almost all of my roms. My only problem was configuring the controls. It works fine with the game controller, the control options just didnt show up properly.
I dont know about Sega or anything else, but there is a Sonic the Hedgehog Palm game floating around, it just doesn't work on Clie's.
Good luck dude.

Good to hear they are at least playable.

I was able to run the ROM files from Sonic the Hedge games fine... (on UX50, same processor as TH55) it should work fine. :)

not reallyuh what? That's a surprising response from you. Sure it's a slower processor, but it's adequate.
Little John for PalmOS (free) plays NES on my TH55/e1 just fine with sound. However, SNES will only play at a reasonable rate if I turn off the sound.
I have a license for NesEm also, but I generally still use LJP (http://yoyofr92.free.fr/ljp/index.html). It emulates a number of other systems as well.
Dragonsgames, do you mean the Palm version of Sonic (which is just an emulator as well) or something like LJP?
