I used to bluetooth but sometimes I need still irdaa connection. Today I find out that I can't beam note and others. Previously I could just place tx near my thinkpad and it was discovered as irdaa device, and I could use it. Now there is silence.
I tried irdaa monitor, it's working - I can check signals from i.e. remote control or cell phone. Also Novii remote is working - I can use it.
But all other apps could not find any receiving device :(
I tried switching beam receive option in prefs but this is useless and the only one thing I get is additional info to turn this on :/
How can I fix this problem? Notebook and cell phone irdaa is for sure working. I can send things from one to another on them, but with palm I can't :/

What is warm reset? I found how to perform it.
I did it and all apps were broken, all files, everything :/ I could use only included with tx. Still I can't beam anything :/

Ok - I tried and no results :/ Still I can't beam anything from my tx. I also have clie tj35 and it's working there as it should. In TX it was ok at the begining - I'm sure about this.
I found that some people had this problem and hard reset helped them. I would like to keep all things :/
What is the best backup app? Resco backup is hanging up over and over again :/

woot, for TJ-35 usuage, and 5.2.1,
so no joy after warm, soft reset, is there anything else on there that has anything to do with wireless comms that didn't come with the unit.

Friends adviced me to try with Piloc - localization software. I is said that this software is TX compatible, according to page where You can buy it. But it's not fully functional :((
Sometimes it's doing something with IR port due to support for external keyboards. To work with IR again You have to disable Piloc, and then perform soft reset. Now port is working again and Piloc also could be set.
I don't know how often You will have to repeat this to bring back this functionality, this is first time I had to do this. I hope this will be rare :)
For sure my adventures will help others looking for similiar problem on this forum :)

Problem was reported to company that is producing this software, they replied that it will be solved in future versions, right now the only one workaround it's to turn piloc off, perform soft reset, and again turn it on. I hope we will not wait too long for new version! :)

Do you have uncache installed? That will break Blurtooth send files feature. I might also breat IRDa also.

I had but it expired and I didn't bought it yet.
Irdaa problem is for sure caused by piloc, they are working on upgrade for it. There is something wrong with bluetooth files, sometimes You can't even turn it off :/

If your Novii Remote is working, then most likely your TX is working.
I think IBM disables the Infrared by default in the bios (security). Make sure it is enabled for the laptop.

You are not reading me or my English is too poor ;)
The problem was in Piloc for *SURE*, they admited that it will be fixed in next version. The workaround is disable piloc and reset device, then Irdaa is working again, Piloc can be also switched on then, but if it will happened again - You have to perform this operation again.
