Hi,

I am considering buying a Bluetooth dongle so that I can HotSync over BT instead of via cable. When I am in the HotSync app on the UX, it doesnt have an option for Bluetooth. Is this possible? Is this only present when I have paired up the PC with the UX?

you have to create a new connection using BT... go prefs>connection>new

connect to: PC
via: BT

make sure you have paired the PC and your clie :)

Hi,

I have bought myself a bluetooth dongle and installed the software. After a successful pairing I am having trouble establishing a HotSync connection.

When I try to do a HS using my new bluetooth connection (as instructed above), it first searches for bluetooth devices finding my PC. My bluetooth desktop software alerts me:

'* Remote Device Palm OS handheld(00:0E:6D:21:AA:BC) has connected to my Serial Port A(COM6) service!'

...and thats about it. I dont get the same alert as I do when I do a HotSync over cable. Instead it just timesout and I get the following error on my UX:

'The connection between your handheld and desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again.'

In my Palm Desktop software I have went into HotSync>Setup and set both Local and Modem settings to COM6. Still no joy.

What might I be missing?
