OK, I just ordered my 1st PDA - an E2 & GPS system. Please tell me I did the right thing!
Since I will have a few days before it gets here, is there anything I should bone up on, or down load?
Is there any software (games or productivity), that I should consider getting (cheaper the better).
A friend of mine who thinks I'm nuts for going with a Palm, ( he swears by the Dell Axim), since it can view videos he would like to know what the frame rate is? Is that important?

Not too particularly fond of the processor in the E2, but it's not a bad first PDA! Much better than if you had selected something like the 505. :)

Uninstall Manager (or the Neatfreak Pack) should be the first thing you install. It tracks the apps you install subsequent to its installation and allows for clean removal of an application and ALL associated files.
Check the Treo 650 and T5 software compatibility lists at palmfocus.com. Unfortunately there is no E2 list but these will guide you. Then take a trip over to palmgear.com, use the pulldown on the left to select freeware and have fun. Freewarepalm.com has loads of apps but turn on your popup blocker before you go and doublecheck app creation dates as some of the older ones are really old and not compatible with OS5, let alone 5.4 with NVFS.
Enjoy.

Is the 505 similat to the TX? Didn't see it out there. Anyway, I would have like the more power, but I was working in a way to get a GPS too.
There is always trade offs, hopefully I won't miss the wifi

The 505 has been discontinued for quite some time now.
