I believe this handheld is fantastic and only have a few things on my wish list for my next one.

1. Wireless internet and email access.

2. Keyboard glows in dark.

3. 32mb but not as bad of a problem thanks to PowerRun.

4. Sony to make their version of the built in apps like Datebook, ToDo, Address..... I think the apps they make are good and look very good on screen.

Anybody have thoughts on these or other things you would like to see?

The NX70V is a great handheld, and I think the biggest factors that would make me upgrade to another model are pretty much what you've stated. I'd want more RAM (32 or even 64MB), a better keyboard and integrated Bluetooth. If the next model that comes out has those items, and the NX form factor, then I will upgrade to it. If it only has 16MB of RAM, I'll be keeping my NX70V.

I think you mean some kind of air card support?

Yes, I'd like 32mb of RAM and a lighted keyboard too!

1. Better give out those CF apis, since there is already hardware which allows true wireless GSM (without an aditional mobilephone), but no drivers. Maybe the guys who develop the CF mem drivers can give the developer a hand.
2. Doesn't bother me too much... if I really need to see the keys, I just set the top part of the NX to a 1/2pi angle which allows me to see the keys just fine, but typing blind isn't too hard either.
3.I've got 6MB left, with about 200 apps on card , so that's fine with me
4. Yes and no, I like Sony's style when I don't need a lot of information on the screen. But with the internal apps... They really need that space.

I pretty much agree to your list, although I wouldn't like SONY to change the built-in standard apps too much. At least the data should stay interchangeable with other PalmOS devices and applications.

I have a small thing that I would love to have with my NX70 and that is a strap that allows me to carry it around my neck.

i also wish the keyboard would light up, that there was more RAM and that there was built-in wifi and/or bluetooth. A better camera that wouldn't disturb the form factor would also be appreciated.

All I want is built-in bluetooth and a removable battery.

I am almost completely satisfied with the NX70V. I feel it is the best  "palm" i ever had (and i had the following already: Palm III, PalmV, Palm M505, Handera 330, Clie 625C).

My wishlist for the next generation clie:
1. Formfactor: Get rid of the CF Slot and make the clie slimmer

2. Built-in Bluetooth (Should be able to switch off by software to save energy)

3. Built-in Wireless Lan (Should be able to switch off by software to save energy)

4. Backlit Keyboard (or glow-in-the-dark)

5. More Ram (you never have enough)

I'm thinking of switching from an SJ30 to an NX70V, but am concerned about the larger size. Have you found it to be an issue or does it fit well enough in pockets and other such places?

Yeah the NX is unbeatable, and would it be in future if it had:
-Bluetooth
-maybe built-in Wifi (since Bluetooth settles for 5MB transfers andbeeing able for LAN, no real need)
-32MB RAM was just a charm
-all 1-2mm bigger, but leaving out the CF-Slot makes it more portable
-Loudspeaker positioned in a way it will be also hjeard loud enough when laying on a table(displey up)
-tougher finish(scratches are to easy be made)
-removable battery
-colour to your life! how about light blue or a finish like a piano(sry don't know the correct word for that).
-lighted keyboard? since it has graffiti no issue.
Size is no real matter as long you don't carry it in a big pouch or at the belt.

Nearly perfect, but feels that it lacks a flash for the built-in Camera, sometime in dim places you can't seem to get a good picture (Still have to stick with other Digital Cameras)

As I use the NX in tablet form with graffiti most of the time, the keyboard can be phased out, that might result in slimmer body like the T-series. or they can have the wireless buit-in instead of the keyboard, rather than taking up the CF slot (another size matter).

Oh I can always make use of that extra RAM, you can never have too much of that, I'm sure that's the main issue with most of us here.

@hherbzilla

The formfactor (size + weight) is ok aslong you donīt wont to wear it in the front pocket of a shirt or a suit. If you use a leathercase or something like that it ad significantly more thickness to it and it may than be to thick for some pockets.

For me it is all right, but not as superb as the PalmV has been. But the bigger HiRes+ Screen is worth the disadvantage.

In my eyes they can remove the CF-slot, what would make the formfactor almost perfect.

1 MPixel Cam would be nice, with flash, I really dont need the
2 MPixel Cam. The NZ is nice but, man, is it fat. I think the NX
would be perfect with just that small upgrade, As for bluetooth, battery, WIFI cards, they are fine for add-ons
