Open Office & Docs to Go: Password question

If I save an Open Office in MS Word format, it loses it's password. So how do you OO.o users cope with this situation?

Also, I notice MS Work documents with a Header loses the Header when sync with Docs to Go 5. Do other Palm Office suites preserve the Header created in MS Office?

Seems than work better (worse it's impossible) DTG kills ALL question marks produced for unknown formats if you edit the documnent.
