Have you tried moving them to the MS and then TX to the computer?

You can use PictureGear Lite, that came with your Clie, to save your CliePaint picture as a jpeg, gif or bmp.

Start PictureGear. Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\agent44\Backup\test.PRC" (substitute your user name for agent44). All of the PRC files will be displayed in the middle of the PictureGear window, and the graphic PRCs will show as picture tiles. Click once on your picture, click on File, and Save As.

MS = memory stick
TX = transfer

AFAA = anything for an acronym

While were on the subject of Clie Paint...

How do you save something that you've made in CliePaint? I took some class notes for some reason, and i forgot how to save it.

On the bottom tool bar, there is a button that looks like a blue paper to the left of the color pallet and above undo button.  Tap that button.

CLIE Paint is cool.  I use it to draw my Avatar.

Hi, also on the subject of clie paint. Is there anything like a paint bucket tool used in TealPaint or other paint programs (Like MS paint or Photoshop)?

Just wondering if I was missing anything.

Do you mean a button that can let you get access to lots of color selection or mixing various color together?  If yes, try tapping the rectangle (bar) button on the bottom left corner of the color pallet (about the size of two color button).  Tapping this bar button will bring you to another screen showing more color selection than the 14 color shown on the main screen.

Yes, here is one example:
What Clie are you using to do this? I have wanted to use CliePaint on my NX80, and it doesn't seem able to read any files except PGP-compatible ones. Since the NX80 takes native JPGs, it doesn't seem possible to edit them in CliePaint, only in Photo Editor. I'm using the CliePaint that's on the NR, so if the NX60/70 has a better version that would be able to work with the pics from the NX80's camera, I'd love to hear about it.

N760C. All I need to do is convert the jpg to pgp and move it to RAM.

You're converting the JPG to PGP on your desktop, though, right? I'm looking for a way to do it onboard, so I can take a pic and immediately write notes and diagrams on it. AFAIK, there's not an app for the handheld that does this conversion. I almost got Picture Gear to read the photo, hoping to then convert to PGP, but while the file shows up, trying to open it results in a crash.

All this would be a whole lot easier if PhotoEditor just had all the features of CliePaint.:rolleyes:

Doesn't PGPocket read DCF files in /DCIM/100MSDCF for Sony digital cameras, which are jpeg images, and convert them to pgp (.prc) on board?

That picture I took it with MSCam, which is in PGP format, then I exported it to MS in DCF format which is jpg.  Clie will store that jpg image in /DCIM/100MSDCF.  Any jpg viewer like Jpeg Show, VFSi, CRS ImageView, etc, can view the jpg image.  I then imported it back onboard to pgp in RAM so CliePaint can edit it, just for this test.

That sounds exactly like what I tried to do, but I suspect the JPG that the NX80 takes is not the same DCF format as the earlier Clie cameras. I can beam CliePaint and PGPocket to my Clie from my NR, and then take a 320x240 pic with the NX80. I had to make a 100MSDCF folder because the NX80 uses a 101MSDCF folder for its pics, which alone might indicate that the two are incompatible. So when I move the pics to the 100MSDCF folder, PGPocket can see them, but they show up as black boxes like it knows they're there but can't decode the image. Trying to open the image or import to RAM results in a crash. I have a feeling it's just not compatible.:(
