here's your chance again....
I just bought a new flashlight, mini 120 lumen tactical flashlight... it arrived in the mail today... I was so excited I had to pull it out and fire it up from the box. In broad daylight the beam was visible, but barely (can you feel the  coming yet)? A little disappointed, I expected a bit more brightness, even shown it directly into my eyes (again, broad daylight, so pupils already narrow, but also sunglasses), looked "sorta bright" but not impressively so (forgot I had sunglasses on, darn magnetic clip ons)....
So I get it home, find the darkest room and turn on my previous light (about 60 lumens) which is "decent" for a mini, power up the new one, wow, over powered the other... cool dark room, bright light, I am impressed.... so I turn the light into my eyes to see why it didn't look so bright earlier.... I so casually tossed the clipons on the TV as I arrived I forgot about them.... as the shock of the light hit me.... so did the realization, sunglasses, daylight, any flashlight visible during the day is already impressive and anything that looks mildly bright through sunglasses is decent.
still seeing spots... darn impressive flashlight... If I still have sight in July, should make caving pictures easier. The spots are finally starting to fade, I see a faint 'S' still, I guess my hand wobbled the beam across my eye as it blinded me....
But nice flashlight...
