I just wanted to know how you Isilo users use this program.
and any recommendations you can give me would be great,
Especially when you use it to view your web pages.

There are a lot of past threads you can look it.
You can also go here for a tutorial on web clippings:

I have iSilo, but seldom use it, I prefer Handstory instead.

All you need to know is this.

I love Isilo. Good recommendations on research from Larry.
There also was an excellent thread recently on automating the Isilo sync process.
Isilo is great for taking a bunch of information with you away from your PC. News, magazine articles, comics, PDA tips and reviews, lunar charts, sports scores, jokes, weather, etc...
BTW, Anyone out there use Isilo to manage TV listings? If so, please post a good site for this.
THanks

I never used isilo for storing pages offline. I use Plucker. How does it compare?

As a former Plucker HiRes+ user and recent iSilo convert, I thought I'd give my $0.02.
iSilo formats web pages better than Plucker does, and has support for tables (which Plucker doesn't). iSilo also doesn't have the anoyance of having to repaint and start from the top of the document when you toggle the VG area that Plucker HiRes+ does.
Plucker has a slightly nicer document interface. It has a tap-and-hold menu for changing categories, deleting files, etc. iSilo has a context menu selector on the bottom of the screen which you have to set to the operation you want to perform with a tap on a document. Plucker also lets you put a document in multiple categories, and can show multiple categories at once.
Document sizes seem roughly equivelant in my ad hoc tests. iSilo is a lot faster in rendering large documents.
I use iSilo for reviewing web clippings but mostly for reading ebooks. Handstory is good I just prefer iSilo.

I am currently a Palm Reader user. but there are some documents I need that need iSilo. Would there be a conflict, or can I use them both? Will they play well together?

I use ISilo as follows:
I created a task for the taskmanager that executes ISIloXC at 18.00h which automatically downloads the content of the set of webpages i selected for reading with ISiloX before.
When i do my daily synchronisation in the evening this pages are transfered to the clie, so that i can read them before i go to bed (;-)
The best page which helped me much when learning how to use ISilo (used Avantgo before) is www.turcic.com (http://www.turcic.com) . Ther you will find a fine selection of hints and links.
Michael
iSilo' AUTOSCROLL simply outperformed others.

The reason why I am still using AvantGo instead of iSilo is that I want to have my webpages updated every time I sync. Not just the one time that I have managed to run iSiloXc with Windows Task Manager. This way, you miss out on all the good news throughout the day on fast changing forums or news pages.
Does anyone have the same opinion? Is there any other program out there besides AvantGo that retrieves the most up-to-date webpage when you're syncing?

The newest beta of iSiloX allows you to set multiple sync times for each clip . . . I have some I update 3x a day (weather . . .) and some once a day (PDA sites) and some once a week (NYT magazine). It works great. I guess you could do them all multiple times a day . . . even on the hour, if you wanted . . .

Thanks YellowRose, I should have checked the latest update first. Hmm... another advantage for AvantGo would be that all updating is happening on the server, whilst with iSiloX it's happening on my doggie slow Celeron 333 laptop... but oh well I'll upgrade my iSilo and give it a try. Thanks.
Though... this scheduling isn't working for fast paced websites like forums.... or you'll have to update once in 5 minutes.... which my laptop wouldn't like.

About the scheduling not working on forums . . . I don't think Avantgo does that great a job with those either. You get a snapshot of 'right then' which is not necessarily where it will be when you actually log in. It kinda depends on how busy the forum is.
I can see where a slower computer would make iSilo a pain . . . guess you'll have to decide which works better for you. It sounds like Avantgo to me . . . Good Luck with your decision!
