Hello -- I'm considering buying the Linksys Travel Router WTR54G5 to use my LD in hotel rooms that have only wired internet access. Has anyone used this combination successfully?
Thanks.

Coincidence. I was just looking at it in CompUSA and was wondering how well it worked. Man, I can really use it on my trips. Anyone useit with Bellsouth?

Thanks for your response, rico1204. If I can get one before I leave for a road trip next Friday, I'll report back.
BTW, did you have similar experiences in more than one hotel room? I would imagine that some systems have web-based authentication pages. I've had that experience with my laptop on the road. I was just wondering if and how the use of a router made this more difficult.

I've had success using it at Candlewood Inn & Suites and Wyndham hotels. It's been a while, but I don't recall issues with the authentications. However, I have always activated my laptop before I use the LD...don't know if that made a difference or not...
