First post on this site. Learning a ton browsing the threads. Thanks in advance for the knowledge you all have imparted...

Two things have concerned me about my one week old NZ-90. The cheesy plastic cover (called the interface connector cover in the manual) looks and feels like it could fall off at any moment. It has definitely taken a beating as I get used to putting it on the cradle. Anyone had any problems with this coming off? Is it just something that clips back on?

Also the constant in and out of the stylus seems to put a constant "tweak" on the display panel. As I push in on the release of the stylus, the display panel moves to the left slightly and that has to be putting a strain on that top hinge, right? Any issues there?

I have a 30 day return policy I am dealing with and would love the input. Trying to find a decent case would definitely reduce the wear and tear on the unit, but I don't want to commit to that until I am sure this is the unit for me...

So far the cradle-connector-thingie has held up fine for me. I take mine on and off the cradle at least a dozen times a day.

I'm kinda getting used to it.. :)

I haven't noticed any of the stylus-tweak on my display. That's definitely a weird one.

Empire Devil >>>>> No problems so far. I have heard worse about the Tugsten!

I must admit now that u mentioned it, the thing at the back does look cheezy, but the overall build quality is 5 Star quality!
Remember it is a SONY, there is no compromise on Quality!
isnt that why we pay the bucks???

My advise, if it doenst feel right the first time, then its not for you!
Buy something else.

These are WOW products and if you dont feel WOW about it, u never will!

You are right about the cover. It is sort of a rubberized cover and that was my first thought, but it is hlding up so far. I am careful how I connect it to the stand, using both hands. Part of the problems is the stand is so light but it easier with time.

I have no problems with the stylus howver I don't push in to release it. I just use my finger and slide it out. For the most part I use another stylus anyway.

As for a case I am using a flip top nylon case that one of my IPAQ's came in. There is a similar model that Targus makes. It fits the NZ90 real nice like it was made for it. I also carry an extra stylus which I use rather than the built in one, a memory stick and a spare battery. Until a nice leather one comes along this works great for me. There is a .
flap in the back that you can use as a belt loop

Ya, my ruberizied back cover is rock solid after 2 months and a few camping trips. I still have problems with the battery giving me an inconsistent charge and thus, sometimes only being able to take a few pics before the battery starts whining.
