Well, I wanted to try the BatteryTime program and see how my '55 stacks up. While I was at it, I loaded FileZ and the Game Controller (for gc10.) Perhaps I shouldn't have loaded this much in one shot, but I did.

The files I installed:
BatteryTime.prc
BTIME Font.pdb
PToolboxLib.prc
Filez.prc
GameConLoader.prc

It prompted to reset after I hotsync'd, and then when it came back up I got:

"DataMgr.c.Line:9228,Index out of range"

In fact, every time I reset the error comes back up. I did a warm reset and deleted all the files I could find (not sure about BTIMEFont.pdb--not sure if ClieFiles was showing that one to me.) Does anyone have advice on what to delete to get past this?

You could, by chance, reinstall FileZ off a MemoryStick, open FileZ, and delete it. :D

I did that just now, and made sure those files were gone. Also, I happened to search for that type of error on 1src, and I found one related to NetFront3.1 that was the same Datamgr, but with a different line and error. Their suggestion on those forums was to delete some NF3* files and that would clear up the problem.

So in an attempt to try something, I have deleted the NF3* files that were not ROM, and now I'm still getting a reset, but it is:

'Fatal Exception"

So did I help anything or make it worse?

Ouch. Sorry to hear that.

You need to delete BTIME Font and PToolboxLib too. Anything with BTTM and JHSU creator IDs. CLIE Files shows both files.

Not sure about the GameConLoader. I don't use it.

Good luck!

I experience occassional reset loops on an NX-80. Often, a warm reset and deletion of recently added files does not always fix the problem. A hard reset may be the only way to break the loop. As long as you have a backup prior to loading the GC-10 drivers and Battery Time, you should be able to easily restore your handheld with a recovery hotsync.
