I also think it's very possible palm is making it's own OS. Too much at stake here and palm is not going to bet on ALP. Palmsource failed on Cobalt when palm should still have a lot of influence on the design. Now I don't know how much design influence palm has on the ALP. I really don't think there is much.
Well, it's 10 yrs of pilot. But a lot of people fall in love with the pilot is because of the Palm OS. It's not doing very well now. Palm maybe continue to success for many year even they switch to WM. But if the OS can't make a positive impact this time next yr, it will be history.

Thanks gang! The LifeDrive is really cool. I'm trying to run with as little third-party software as possible for the time being. I really want to test the stability issues. So far, I've had trouble with Amy's Tree of Knowledge. I didn't check the compatibility list, so I'll be checking those lists over the next few days. Wi-Fi is a little bit sketchy. I get resets here and there. I'm not sure if deleting my savedpreferences.prc file will help or deleting a wi-fi file or two.
But I do want to point out that I don't think that the lag is really a big issue. Yes, it's there, no I don't think it is a deal breaker. Just for the record, I have not loaded SharkCache yet. Yet.
