memorymgr.c,line:3635, NULL Handle fatal alert

ok i got the memorymgr.c,line:3635, NULL Handle fatal alert and i tried the reset button and i tried the up button AND reset button...neither has stopped the error. I have a Palm Zire 71. it was working fine this morning after I had it sit and charge the battery but without warning, i went to use my camera button and as soon as i slide my palm upward to activate the camera function, it gets this error. i can't click on the Photos icon either. my palm is now useless and everything i have read has not helped. i even took off all extra programs i had on it before i tried both types of resets and it still has not fixed it. someone help me please...i can't do my work without my Palm!

if a hard reset doe snot help, try to just drain the batteries (boot while holding the [down] key) and leave it not connected to anything for a few hours. if that doe snot help as well, then you are SOL

Yep. Try the Hard Reset (back up first with a good utility to make recovery fast). If it doesn't work, like dmitrygr says, drain the battery. I also read in a forum that even that may not resolve things. I don't know about the Zire's memory if it is volatile or not. If everything fails you may have to put your palm to "rest" for a few days (yes a few days) to reset that special memory. Then you can charge and turn it up. Happens with TEs...
