I am getting a strange error in conjuction with Backupbuddy on my PC:

BackupBuddy failed to backup DB PalmRevoltPrefs [C='3GXs' T='DATA'] due to: Failed to retrieve database from handheld
AND
BackupBuddy failed differential back up of PalmRevoltPrefs from 3GXs due to: DATA

Anybody have similar problem?

I don't use BBVFS, but i tested it with Resco Backup and had no problems.

RescoBackUp cannot do the job with the preferences too!!!

Oh - I didn't even notice. RB didn't generate any log entry or notice when it backed up, but the prefs file is definitely not there! Wonder what andrew changed? I checked the prefs file and the backup bit is checked - does that mean it is supposed to be backed up or not?

Neither Resco Backup nor Resco Explorer will back up the file. The log indicates *skipped* beside the file.

RB will not generate a log for you unless you have it set to do so after you run a manual backup (see Manual Backup menu item).

The backup bit makes no difference to Backup software. It is all copied, based on date of change or byte/byte unless it is listed in the *exclude* list. (someone a bit more knowledgeable might add more to this info or correct it)

Close files after use, do not leave them open.

The database is opened and cannot be backuped

That's right, disbling PR backup its done ok.
But this not happend with previous versions.

Andrew fixed the problem with version 0.946b, available here (http://3gxsoft.com/download.html). I just ran RescoBackup, and everything's fine! :D
