If it were possible to connect a printer to your Clie (or any other PDA for that matter) via a USB adapter, would you be able print directly from your Clie?

I've seen male-female USB adapters of all sorts which would make it possible to actually connect any USB capable device directly to the PDA. Would that make it possible to print? Would you need another program? ....Download pictures directly from a digital camera.....scan to the PDA...print from a PDA...download addresses to a cellphone...oh the possibilities!!!

You can print in several differnet ways. The easiest is to use an IR-ready or IR-adapted printer and printing software.

MOST printing software only prints Palm-standard formats or things done in a few popular programs (such as addresses, memos, expense reports, WordSmith documents, etc.) I have not seen one yet that prints photos or art.

Here is a link to a decent list of IR-ready printers: http://www.stevenscreek.com/palm/palmprintprinters.html

Bachmann Software (http://www.bachmannsoftware.com/) offers other printing software and solutions.

The printing programs I know about are:
Printboy (Bachmann, link above)
PalmPrint (Stevens Creek, link above)
IRPrint (www.iscomplete.com)

I do not know about any cabled options, although Bachmann offers a Bluetooth option apparently.
