I went searching through tons of DOS disks, and other assorted piles of crap today, in search of one of my favorite games ever.

A worms-like game, your sole purpose in the game was to shoot the other players with assorted weaponry, and the more people you blow up, the more you gain for upgrading weapons. [I am pretty sure that your tank COULD NOT move once the game started, and even in the begining it was random, and you couldn't place yourself, though I could be wrong] The earth display was always green, and you were a small animated tank, along with about 7 other tanks, and you could bounce shots off walls, and destroy the green land with the weapons you had-
Problem is, I can't even remember the name of the game.

If you guys know any games just like it, or know the name, I would love you forever...

[That and you guys have an awesome track record with game knowledge]

Sounds a lot like the old DOS game "Scorched Earth" or also like the many popular "Worms" games.

I played Scorched Earth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scorched_Earth_%28computer_game%29) many many times. Before that, I played Gorilla (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorilla_%28computer_game%29) . :)

Scorched Earth is awesome, and just what I was looking for, thanks guys.
Only one question, can I force DOS to run not fullscreen so the graphics wont be hugely pixelated? As it is, I have it at like, 240x320 just so I can see the entire screen, and putting it up to 1024x720 makes everything just go blah, same with any resolution up to 640x480... Anything below that, like 480x480 or something makes the screen too big to fit in my borders, and I cant see half the tanks...

I use DosBox on my Macs, but it's also avaialble for PCs, but anyways it runs in a window. It's pretty easy to setup, but if have any questions, let me know?

Ahhhhh. My fondest memories of PCs are from the Dos days. :)

Is there a way for me to play this on my Treo 650? I'd really REALLY love for that to be possible... Maybe using emulators? Speaking of Dune, that'd be quite amazing too...
