View Full Version : LauncherX & VG Pop Up
I'm in the trial period of LauncherX and so far I like it's functionality. However, why when I launch a CLie app (like address for example) from the Launcher does it automatically pop u pthe VG pad? Very very annoying! I'm forever tapping the down arrow to remove it! Grrrrrr.
Anyone else have this? Maybe there's a way to turn it off?
Feedback would be appreciated.

As far as I know this is controlled by the individuell app you just launched, which would make sense too, doesn't it? Datebk5 for example remembers my setting and launches it the way I like it (VG down). Others apps might not be customable that way and always start with the VG area in a default view (up or down). But Launcher X can not control this.

Chris
Hmmm, nope, it's definitely LauncherX controlled.
If I Close LX, open address - its full screen. Leave address full screen tap back to home.
Launch LX - open address, the VG pops up. All manner of tests indicate that LX pops it up by itself. It does it on memo, date, to do and address and it's *really annoying!*
Please, can someone (another LX user) confirm this for me?

I've noticed this with LauncherX as well. Here's a couple ways to solve the problem...
Assuming you have the NX versions of Memo, Datebook, etc..., using the HARDbuttons to launch these programs will leave the VG area DOWN (or in it's last used state)!
This is also the same for launching these programs using the NRButtons or PageDown hack...so I suggest one of those hacks...at least on my Clie, it leaves the VG area down (or wherever I had it last). Give it a try and let us know if it works for you!
