Has anyone tried this NextLauncher? It looks like ClieLauncher. It does support OS4 device.

NO. Never tried it. Never seen it before today. It looks somewhat like ClieLauncher with McPhling thrown in.

NextLauncher is just the little window on the top left. It pops up a list of most recently used apps with either an extended JogDial press, extented Back button press, or tap on the calculator silkbutton. It also comes with a DA.

for a moment I thought it was an CLIE OS5 "like" launcher interface for OS4 devices. Bummer.

It looks exactly like the OS5 Clie Launcher on my NX70 ! I translated the site using babelfish, this is what you get (follow the link):

http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/tr?tt=url&url=http%3A%2F%2Fhomepage.mac.com%2Fogaoga%2Fnextlauncher.html&lp=ja_en (http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/tr?tt=url&url=http%3A%2F%2Fhomepage.mac.com%2Fogaoga%2Fnextlauncher.html&lp=ja_en)

It seems to be a transfer of the OS5  Clielauncher to OS4. I hope they respected the copyright of the sony software.

I wonder if someone wants that launcher because so many are looking for alternative launchers for the NX (which has a built-in launcher similar to that "nextlauncher" .

Funny

I tried it on my N760. The NextLauncher is just the pop-up window and NOT the ClieLauncher. The screenshot on the website is misleading because it was captured from an OS5 machine.

One useful thing is that you can launch NextLauncher from any app and have quick access to some recently used apps. You can then quickly switch between apps.

So, any improvement over McPhling?

I don't use McPhling so I wouldn't know. Sorry, can't help you on that.

As small as the file size was......I wouldn't expect it to be anything more than a pop-up menu.

thanks to sideway for making it a little bit clearer.
might be in competition with mcphling, not to compare with ZLauncher.
