I successfully configured my TG50 to surf the web and download e-mails using the pdf referenced on this site (instructions for Tungsten T owners). This now creates a conflict with the bluetooth com port used for hotsyncing. Any ideas or suggestion on how to do both would be appreciated.

You can hotsync using Network hotsync. I'm assuming you're using MochaPPP. Here's how I hotsync with MochaPPP running:

On your PC:
1) Disable Local Serial under Hotsync setup
2) Enable Network under Hotsync setup
3) Setup->Network: check your username, click TCP/IP Settings, make sure your Primary PC Address shows your IP Address

On your TG50:
1) Start Hotsync App
2) Click Modem
3) Click on the Service name under the Hotsync button in the middle of the screen
4) Select the same service you use in NetFront to surf the web
5) Menu->ModemSync Preferences->Select Network
6) Menu->LANSync Preferences->Select LANSync
7) Menu->Primary PC Setup->Enter your Primary PC Name (This is your PC's Bluetooth Computer Name)
8) Menu->Primary PC Setup->Enter your Primary PC Address (This is your PC's IP Address)

That should be it!

Hi,

is there a way to set up mppp's baud rate to 115.200 using my TG50? Or does it make no difference to 57.600?

Okay, figured it out by myself. Just switched to pocketpc and changed baud rate to 115.200. IMHO its faster now, but maybe it makes no real difference - just makes me feel better ;-)
