Just a quick note for all of those in the NY/NJ area. The wiz (the entire chain) is going out of business (again). they have severely cut their prices. this weekend while checkin out what they had I noticed they had about 3 dozen clies of various models in the cabinets near the cameras (these units were not on display, which I suspect was done on purpose) anyway, an nx60 was being sold for 299 with the nx70 for 350.

That seems decent. Maybe it's different this time since it seems like the whole company is going down the drain, but when the closest store to where I live closed down their prices weren't really reduced that much. Maybe since whatever they didn't sell they could ship elsewhere. This time may not be the case.

The ones I went to didn't have any NX70's in stock. I splurged on a ReplayTV instead. :D

Cool! I'm a Tivo fan, myself. Do they carry any Tivos?

The wiz is a chain store in the New York and New Jersey area.

I remember seeing a Sony-branded Tivo, but it was about 2 weeks ago. I don't recall if they had any of the regular series 2 models though.

I guess someone finally beat the wiz.

IMO it was the combination of stores like Best Buy, Circuit City and the increasing amount of internet purchases.
