I installed Earthcomber this morning and found that it froze on its opening screen. I've deleted it and reinstalled it with the same result. Has anyone had any experiences with Earthcomber running on a T|X?
I ran it without problems for a week, though I ultimately didn't like it.

EarthComber runs fine on my TX. Can't say that I use it much as I tend to remember my way to the store, but it is there...
IMO, it is a great piece of software for the price.
Anyone used KMaps yet? I'd be using that all the time, except for the fact that it doesn't cache your maps, so each time you use it, you need to go online.... It's basicly a front end for Google Maps (yes, political AND satellite).
I tried Earthcomber, but I was never able to get it to work. I could never get all the files I needed installed. I spent several days trying to get it to work and finally just gave up.
I have Kmaps installed, but as _Em says, it doesn't cache maps.
I now use Tom Tom Navigator and this allows me to view maps whenever I need to. It's an expensive method if all you want to do is look up an address now and then, but since I use it with a GPS for planning trips and keeping me from getting lost, using it as a general purpose mapping application works for me.

For EarthComber, since my desktop is a Mac, I always use the option to download the files. EarthComber doesn't play any role in my hot sync process. Using this method it has always worked for me.

Thanks for the comments. There is a conflict somewhere but I'm unwilling to delete anything else I'm running in order to use earthcomber. I've messed around with Handmark Express a bit and have found the maps to be adequate but not great. Unfortunately it doesn't save anything to cache so when I really need a map, I cannot get one.
