View Full Version : Silent Phone

Anybody know a cause for this?

My phone was, for 6 hours or 27 calls attempted, silent. When the call connected the speakerphone button disappeared and the call was completely silent. Didn't matter if I originated or received. I could not hear and could not be heard -- unless I used the wired headset. The headset worked fine, but when I disconnected it all was silent again.

Then, while I was on a landline with tech support, and just calling the time to hear something on the Treo, it began to work again and the speakerphone button returned?

Could this be a conflict with pTunes, or Butler?
Could it be a failing headphone connector?

Any help appreciated.

Steve

My suggestion is to do warm reset (Press the up button and reset together) after the warm reset, do a regular reset.

You are right. Bad headset jack explains why I intermittently lose function in speaker and microphone. Bad headset jack maybe explains why the voice dial program often doesn't hear the headset for a while after being connected, then functions properly.

My replacement from Verizon should arrive today.

Thanks for the advice.
