Background Image too big.

I change my background on my T|X to a different image but the image doesnt seem to fit the screen, the size of the image is 320 x 480 so i dont know how to resize it. I try shrining it down but its just fix the whole screen

The whole screen is 320x480, but if you want to subtract for the small bar at the bottom, you need to crop your pics to 320x450.

i tried that but the image is showing extremely big on the screen

Are you perhaps using the handheld in landscape mode? In this case your Palm will stretch the image to fit the 450x320 screen (same goes for landscape backgrounds on portrait screens).

Basicly, you need a 480x480 image if you want it to look right on the T|X -- this is due to the fact that it takes your image and makes a layout for it for landscape and for portrait mode. To do this, it cuts a bit off the top and bottom for landscape, and off the sides for portrait.

So, if you only use portrait mode, create an image with 80 pixels of blank space down each side.

Sometimes I will use Gimp 2 to crop or resize an image (plus much more) to use as wallpaper on my palm. Gimp is a free and awesome image editor. http://www.gimp.org/
