Do you use the bundled Image Converter to convert the movie?

Make sure you run your download movie with quicktime to check
if you are play the movie without hanging in the first place because I did have experience on that because I downloaded a corrupted movie clip.
Secondly, make sure you convert it with the supplied image converter. You should not have a problem!
I did convert the mov with the bundled image converter. I converted the mov and one mpeg, then the mpeg was ok but the mov wasn't. I played the mov on my PC with irfan, the result was successful. It played from the beginning until the end but it hung in my TG.

What is the difference between a TG50/H and a TG50/G?

If you all looked around the other forums, you would find out it was a problem with the way the movie was encoded. Follow the instructions in the post and all should work fine...it did for me!

I too have the same problem, I've tried reinstalling Image Converter 1.0 and that did nothing. Does anyone know if there is an image converter update or prehaps a plugin or codec that I need to play MOV file formats? BTW i have the PEG-TG50/U

I'm guessing the "U" means US-spec....any thoughts?

Nope, the TG50/U is what I had up here in Vancouver.
But I've found a cure to your problem! I've already posted it in this thread!

It is just the Matrix movie that has problems! It was encoded wrong...that's all...
