Can someone help me figure out how to restore 3D Launcher on my UX50? Here's the scoop...
I was using it last night with NO PROBLEMS...I only use the 3D launcher, and do not have any other file manager software on the Clie. I put the Clie on my charger every night, and it wakes me up by alarm in the morning. Well, this morning the alarm didn't go off. I tried to turn power on - nothing. Had to soft reset to get it to come on - when it did, I tapped the house icon to get to the launcher and got a fatal exception.
After a hard reset, I was able to access the Prefs and remap two of the buttons to Hotsync and Data Import. I tried to Hotsync and restore my backup files - Hotsync did not error out, but Launcher still didn't work. Then I used Data Import to load ZLauncher onto the Clie. I can access files using ZLauncher, but if I ever close ZLauncher...the Clie tries to load 3D launcher and I get the Fatal Exception. Using ZLauncher and multiple soft resets, I also discovered that trying to launch Netfront or Sound Utl freezes the Clie. Trying to launch PicselViewer causes the Fatal Exception too.
I also loaded FileZ on the Clie in an attempt to use JAmerican's UX40 Launcher files to reload the 3D Launcher...no dice. I was trying to follow the instructions on this thread: http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83970&page=2&pp=15
Any suggestions or ideas? My SJ33 is bulletproof, but I've only had a UX50 since Christmas and I'm running out of ideas.
