volume on nz90

is it possible to boost up the volume on nz90 with some software tweaking or something.

Do you mean something other then touching the speaker icon and playing with those sliders?

the speaker is not really great, if you increased the volume by some means, i'm sure the added distortion would really make it sound bad!... to validate this, play an mp3 on the audio player, and turn the bass boost up to level 3... you'll hear the speaker break up and clip... now do the same thing with the supplied headphones, it sounds ok... therefore the speaker is pretty much at the limit... you could open up the unit, and somehow try to shoehorn in a larger, more capable speaker... if it was more efficient, it might work and give you more volume...

(but unless you are an experienced electronics technician, i sure would not try it)
