Has anyone had a problem with their 802.11b wireless network and a 2.4 mhz phone. I have 900mhz and was wondering about switching and I wondered if the the new 2.4 phones cause a network problem?
Thanks

It depends on the phone and the channel used. I had a Panasonic 2.4GHz phone and anytime it would ring my wireless network would drop. I've since bought a Siemens 8825 system (base with 8 cordless handsets) which also operates at 2.4GHz and have had no problems, even in close proximity to my wireless devices.

This depends on your channel usage and environment as well as the phones used.
Some 2.4 GHz phones are not 2.4 GHz in both directions, in fact, some are even ANALOG in one direction! (Consumer beware!) Some phones use certain frequency ranges and others use others.
We have 3 2.4 GHz phones in our house (2.4 GHz bidirectional), 1 access point and a 2.4 GHz wireless joystick from Logitech. Yes, they CAN interfere with each other. Sometimes the phone will drop out a bit and of course the microwave will often knock it out. For this reason you may want to consider sticking with 900 MHz or looking into the 5 GHz range phones to put you out of the band.
If you decide to go with 2.4 GHz and have problems, try playing with different channels. This can often help out a bit but will totally depend on YOUR environment and what is being used around YOU so there is no ONE solution. (Use channel X)

Bluetooth and 802.11 can also interfere on occasion. Digital keying is supposed to basically eliminate interference ;)
My 802.11 turns the light in my living room off sometimes ;) It's got a remote wireless switch...
I've had the same issue while coworkers have not - seems to depend on the phone. Depending on the wireless router used, you may be able to change the frequency / channel used.
That being said - I haven't tried it on mine yet

I had problems with Siemens 2.4GHz phones: lots of interference, pops, clicks, etc. on the phones. I recently switched to AT&T 5.8GHz and these phones are fantastic! No problems whatsoever.
