I e-mailed Chris Short about my 2 dysfunctional tg50's and he's run into my fried-charging-circuit problem before and can fix it. The other I bought to try and repair the first, but it works and only shows a blue screen--kinda like a fried display circuit. . .
So I will send them both to him and hopefully they'll be fixed! I'll post results when I get them back.
BTW--my functioning tg50 is going to be my backup while I send in my th55/e to Sony to replace the cracked LCD.
