Gizmodo is showing the Asus Origami prototype (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/pdas/cebit-06-asus-origami-prototype-159297.php). I'm thinking... will Sony show off their own? Will Sony go into Origami production. If they do, I think it will be an interesting move.

What's the point? It can't fit in your pocket...

JA, I knew about that. What I'm thinking of is a newer slicker design. For example, something similar to the Sony Reader's design and form factor.

DG, UMPC's are not designed for the pocket ;)

Yeah, so what is the point of Ultra Mobile PCs?

I second DG.

This whole ultra portable PC is trying to fill a void that is not needed.

I'm waiting for the 12" penbooks to drop down to a reasonable price. I would easily pay over a $1000 for one, since they're full fledged computers, but not for one of these units. Samsung's version was $1100. That's a joke when compared what can be had in a notebook for the same price.

Even if these come in at about $500, they are still not worth it. Ultra portable is a UX IMO.
